Password Sharing Proposal


When working with clients and other agencies/vendors, at times it’s necessary to create accounts for access to an application the team manages.


An SFTP account is created for a client to upload files.


Google Sheets:

  1. A Google sheet should be created with all account information including the user’s password.
  2. Share the sheet with the user giving them View Only access.  Share the doc with the user’s email address, do not create a shareable link.
  3. Set a limit of 2 business days for the user to access the doc.  If you want to see if the user has viewed the document, follow these instructions.
